I think it's a male thing. I would drive 12 miles out of my way to save .06/gallon on gas. I figured it up one day and realized 20 gal * .06 is only $1.20. 12 miles is a little over 1/2 gallon in my truck, which would mean I'm actually savinging around .50 and is not worth the extra time (15-20 minutes) it takes.
