Hi Robert,

I’ve had a smiliar bout of frustration (check out my 7/7/03 post).

I believe that intelligent, challenging, and civil discussion is possible in the Christian blogging world…but it is rare. All I can do is try to be as well informed and courteous as I can and pray that others will be working on these virtues as well in their writing.

This whole issue is something that intrigues me….

I am with ya man… It has driven me away from online discussions a number of times. I guess I forget the pain and give it another try every 6 months or so. I am still looking for the place to have good in depth discussions without the violence. Try not to let what other people do frustrate you. It’s hard but you have to brush the dust off and move on without letting them infect you. You have to be stronger than they are. I believe that we will be judged just as much for how we handle ourselves as we are for whether we are right on any given topic. That means two chances to win… make sure you win the one you can control because you will never have perfect knowledge.

hang in there – we all get like that from time to time.

The challenge is to allow these feelings to shape our own actions. ie how will you now blog as a result of coming to this place? how will it impact the words you speak and attittudes you have and the way you treat other bloggers.

Boy I hope I’m not one of those Christian blogs you thought were nasty. :-O

Don’t forget the most popular political blogs are not run by Christians, even if many may have conservative leanings. Heck some of the Christian blogs are not run by Christians either. ;-)
